He showed people where he was buried—and who killed him!
While many scientists will dispel the notion of reincarnation as a myth, there are some credible experts out there who believe that it is a genuine phenomenon. There have several accounts wherein children claim to remember who they were in their past lives, but as they grow older, they tend to forget who they were before. According to some experts, as children grow older, they begin to adapt to their ‘new lives’, prompting them to forget their past.
One famous account is that of a three-year-old boy who remembers his past life. Not only does he remember how he lived, but also remembers how he died and who killed him.
At first, his parents simply brushed their son’s claims off, thinking that it was merely his imagination as a child. But as he started to go into details, they began to believe him.
His parents brought him to the place he claims to have come from. As they asked around about the man he claimed to be in his past life, people said he went missing four years ago. Take note that the boy was three years old.
He soon showed them where he was buried after being murdered with an axe. To their shock, they actually found a corpse and an axe.
His fatal wound corresponds to a birthmark on his forehead. He then claims that he even remembers who killed him! They decided to go to the murderer’s house and confront him. Shocked by the confrontation, the murderer soon admitted to crime.
What is reincarnation?
Reincarnation is the philosophical or religious concept that an aspect of a living being starts a new life in a different physical body or form after each biological death. It is also called rebirth or transmigration, and is a part of the Saṃsāra doctrine of cyclic existence.
