Hurricanes are one of the most destructive forces Mother Nature could ever throw our way, but it’s not just the wind that makes them so dangerous. That, mixed with the incredible volume of ocean water they push beyond the shoreline are both more than capable of causing billions of dollars worth of property damage to a single location and there’s not much we can do to defend ourselves from them.
