I hate wasting food so I try to freeze things when I find that I won't be able to cook them for a while. But getting that air-tight seal is almost impossible without one of those fancy vacuum machines.

I've tried it all -- sucking the air out manually, using a straw, squishing the bag until the air leaves...but nothing really works. Ultimately, when I go to get my frozen food out, often it's got freezer burn!
But now that I know this super quick water trick, I'll never have that issue again.

Thanks, science!

Will you use this trick the next time you freeze something? It's so simple!
