Imagine waking up one day and finding yourself in such a bad situation that your family has to “break up.” You get introduced to completely different family environment in foster care. You’ve to start everything all over again with a new family. It’s sad, isn’t it? Now that’s how it feels being taken into foster care.
Kids in foster care are often accused of being rash, angry, reactionary, and sometimes violent. But the thing you need to understand is that this is all just a manifestation of their personal frustrations. You’ll agree that most of those reactions they exhibit weren’t happening before they went into foster care, so it’s only logical to accept that this new experience affects these kids in a way they might find hard to handle for some time. They need understanding and compassion. That’s really not too much to ask, is it?
However, as has been witnessed time and again and this video proves it, things will always finally work out. They finally get to adapt to the new structures of their lives and get to lead a normal life. That’s one reason not to give up on them in times of their need. The filmmakers here had a mission to bring out the truth as clearly as possible.
