Hundreds of cats and dogs die in the streets each year. Many of which were abandoned and simply left without a family to take of them. Some of these defenceless animals are just waiting to die after being hurt or injured. This dog from India had suffered a severe cut to the head, that maggots are slowly eating his flesh away.
Despite seeing that saving the dog wouldn’t be that easy, Animal Aid Unlimited (India) rescued him anyway and took him out of the basement.
Now named Jerry, the dog was fed and his wound was treated daily. After 9 weeks of painstakingly attending to his wound, Jerry is now able to enjoy life as he should. He has fully recovered and his wound is all healed.
Thankfully, there are people such as these rescuers who spend time and effort in saving every animal in danger.
