There are some things that we do share with animals. They include sentiments and mental capacity.
An example of a clever animal is the elephant. Elephants are known of possessing excellent memories. If something happened long time ago, elephants still will recall it. For example when one of them dies, they mourn for him and they do return to the place that he was buried.
Not long ago, I heard of an elephant tale which moved my heart a lot. They were a herd of elephants who once upon a time were rescued by Lawrence Antony, a conservationist who also was known as “elephant whisperer.” He had founded a reservation for the wildlife called ThulaThula, which was built on a land of more than 5,000 acres, and that is a home for the endangered species that are endangered.
A few days after Antony died, these elephants that lived in the reserve decided to something that left everybody shocked.
The son of Antony revealed to The New York Times how these elephants paid their last tribute to Antony. Read this story fully to find out what they did. Let us know what you think of the story. Please SHARE this story with all your friends on Facebook!
Elephants have long been targeted by trophy hunters for their ivory tusks. The illegal trade of ivory has reduced the African elephant population from millions to sparse herds in just a few decades.
Once, Anthony rescued a herd of wild elephants that would have otherwise been put down. He developed a unique relationship with these elephants and kept them safe on his Thula Thula Reserve in Zululand.
