From their simple, yet deeply moving, instrumental version of “The Battle Hymn Of The Republic” to their bright, jaunty interpretation of the ‘60s classic “Bad Moon Rising,” the men of Six-String Soldiers have some serious talent to share with the world! No matter what kind of day I’m having, the Six-String Soldiers never fail to make me smile the moment they start to jam.
This time, they’re covering the song “This Land Is Your Land.” You’ll likely recognize the tune from the first few notes, as it’s one of America’s most famous folk songs — and a jingle that many of us sang quite often when we were kids:
From California to the New York island
From the Redwood forest to the Gulf Stream waters
This land was made for you and me
While they didn’t travel quite that far in their video, the Six-String Soldiers are somehow, and quite miraculously, able to walk, sing, and play their instruments all at the same time. That’s some serious multitasking talent, and it doesn’t detract from their performance in any way. With tight harmonies and voices that blend as easily as butter, they certainly aren’t known as “the musical ambassadors of the army” for nothing!
All credit goes to the Six-String Soldiers. We thank you for your service!
Please SHARE with all your family and friends, and enjoy the holiday weekend.
