How often does it happen that the police officers dispatched to respond to a shoplifting call end up saving a life. That’s exactly what happened recently in Arkansas City, Kansas when the local Walmart reported shoplifters. Sergeant Jason Legleiter and Police Officer Wade Hammond were the first to respond when they were told there was a dog hanging by his leash on the side of a vehicle.
When they got there they found a motionless and unresponsive pooch who apparently jumped out of the window and essentially hung himself. Luckily, thanks to some quick thinking the miracle happened.
