Dogs are truly man’s best friend. There is an unbreakable connection between pets and owners. This connection is something similar as the bond we share with family. Losing a pet can be as painful as losing your own children, especially when they died trying to save you.
This Doberman from the village of Sebekapur in the Gajapati region of Odisha, east India, saved his human family from four venomous cobras by killing them. Unfortunately, the dog died from all his injuries from the fight as well.
There are 270 species of snakes in India, out of which about 60 are highly venomous. The big four dangerous snakes of India includes Indian Cobra, Krait, Russell’s viper and Saw-scaled viper. Every year 20,000 people die due to venomous snake bites in India.
As news of the animal’s sacrifice spread around the areas, hundreds of people came to the area to pay their respects, laying floral wreaths on the dog’s body, and holding a funeral procession befitting a hero.
