Kawasaki Hina, a 27-year-old man from Japan, didn't expect anything out of the ordinary as he walked home one day through a nearby park. But he was suddenly approached by a small kitten.

She was alone and apparently it was clear for her that Hina was meant to be her human. She refused to let him go and chased after him with determination.

There was no choice for Hina: He placed the kitten gently in a cardboard box and took her home with him.

She immediately made herself at home, snuggling into the couch.

And before he could make sense of the situation, the kitten had fallen into a deep sleep.

Vell, the name given to the small kitten, has now lived for two years with Hina. She rarely leaves his side.

And Hina couldn't be more pleased. Vell is his family and he can't imagine his life without her furry company.

And the feelings are clearly mutual: together forever.

What a sweet story. Sometimes the animal really does choose its owner. We wish this pair a long and happy life together.
